Ingredients
- 1 pound (450 g) pork shoulder, cut into long strips
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) hoisin sauce
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) honey
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) Chinese rice wine or dry sherry
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) Chinese five-spice powder
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) sugar
Marination Duration

Combine hoisin sauce, soy sauce, honey, rice wine, sesame oil, five-spice powder, minced garlic, and sugar in a bowl. Marinate the pork in this mixture for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight, in the refrigerator.
Cooking Instructions
- Preheat the Ruokala air fryer to 180 degrees Celsius.
- Place the marinated pork strips in the air fryer basket. Avoid overlapping.
