  • 8 chicken thigh fillets, cut into medium-sized pieces
  • 16 pandan leaves (for wrapping)
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) white pepper
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) sugar
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) honey

Marination Duration

  • Marinate the chicken pieces in soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, white pepper, sugar, and honey for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight, to enhance the flavors.

Cooking Instructions

  1. Wrap each marinated chicken piece with a pandan leaf. (can be fixed with toothpicks)
  2. Preheat the Ruokala air fryer to 180 degrees Celsius.
  3. Arrange the wrapped chicken pieces in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not overcrowded.
  4. Cook for 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked and the pandan leaves are slightly crispy.
  5. Unwrap and serve the chicken hot, optionally with a side of sweet chili sauce or a squeeze of lime.
